What the company says it supplies
Securiport describes its work as intelligent immigration controls and civil aviation security 6. Its published Integrated Immigration Control Systems material covers traveler enrolment, biometric identification, document checks, border processing and information management 9. These are product descriptions from the company, not a government performance assessment.
The MIGA project record provides outside confirmation of a defined project scope. It describes an immigration control system for seven Indonesian airports, with traveller data capture, document authentication, biometric enrolment and watch-list checks 1,2.
Certification record and its limits
Securiport reported that A-LIGN certified its information security management system to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 on 12 December 2018 8. The company stated that the scope covered immigration processing, traveler biometric identification, information management and risk assessment for traveler immigration processing 8. A-LIGN is listed by the US FedRAMP Marketplace as an assessor with ISO 27001 capabilities 10.
Securiport's current About page displays ISO 27001 and ISO 37001 certification badges 6. A current certificate number, issue date, expiry date and scope were not available in the public sources reviewed for this profile. The badges are recorded here as a current company statement. The 2018 announcement proves a dated certification event, not permanent certification.
Selected official project records
| Record | Date | What it establishes | Evidence limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Indonesia MIGA project 1,2 | 2022 to 2023 | A cooperation agreement and a proposed MIGA guarantee for systems at seven airports | The MIGA page labels the guarantee project as proposed |
| Juba airport financing 3 | 24 December 2018 | Afreximbank and Securiport signed a US$15 million financing agreement for a Juba airport project | The signing notice does not prove current operating status |
| Mali official decree 4 | 27 September 2016 | The decree approved a civil aviation security concession agreement | The decree does not by itself state the current contract position |
| Gambia audit letter 5 | 2022 | The National Audit Office published findings and management responses for the Gambian project | The record concerns the audited project and period |
| Sierra Leone equipment inspection 11 | 20 June 2026 | The Immigration Department reported an audit-committee inspection of Securiport equipment | The notice records an inspection, not a published final audit opinion |
Indonesia project record
MIGA says Securiport's Indonesian subsidiary signed a cooperation agreement with Indonesia's Ministry of Law and Human Rights on 1 March 2022 2. The project was designed for seven airports and a 20-year term from the start of commercial operations 2. MIGA described a proposed guarantee of up to US$100 million 1.
The record supports the existence, parties and intended scope of the project. It does not support a claim that MIGA issued the full guarantee or that every airport remains active under the same arrangement today.
Gambia audit record
The Gambia National Audit Office published a management letter on the Securiport project in 2022 5. The document records audit findings, recommendations and management responses. GCAA said an accrued government share had been transferred, joint accounts were active and monitoring officials had been assigned 5. The auditors accepted some evidence and kept other points open 5.
The audit applies to the Gambian arrangement and period examined 5. It is not a criminal judgment, a registry ruling on Securiport's legal existence or a finding about every country contract 5.
Country records have different legal meanings
These records cannot be merged into one legal conclusion. An audit can record control failures and responses. A fee suspension can pause collection. A court can decide an award challenge. A press report can describe a contract term. Each source answers a different question 5,12,13,14,15,16,17.
| Country record | What the dated source establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| The Gambia audit 5 | Findings, recommendations, responses and some reported corrective action | A criminal conviction or a finding about another country |
| Sierra Leone 11,12 | A 2024 e-visa reconciliation finding and a separate 2026 fee suspension | A published result of the special audit announced in July 2026 |
| Senegal 13,14 | Historical IGE findings and a later decision to re-examine the fee | A published 2026 renewal, replacement award or termination |
| DRC 15,16 | A reported contract charge and two different accounts of its implementation | A verified passenger payment without a notice, ticket line or receipt |
| Benin 17 | The Paris court rejected Benin's application to set aside the arbitral award | A ruling on contracts in any other country |

| Did the Gambia audit convict the company? | National Audit Office management letter 5 | No. The source is an audit management letter, not a criminal judgment | Record type confirmed |
| Did the US settlement establish fraud? | DOJ settlement notice 7 | No liability determination was made. The notice says the resolved claims were allegations | Confirmed by the issuing authority |
| Was the Benin award set aside? | Paris Court of Appeal judgment 17 | No. The court rejected Benin's set-aside application | Confirmed by the judgment |

How to read the word scandal
Scandal is not a legal status or registry classification. It is a label used in commentary. A reliable company profile should replace that label with the record type, issuing authority, date, finding, response and current outcome.
For Securiport, the available set includes audits, fee reviews, an arbitration challenge, a civil settlement and operating records. None is a substitute for another. The company has no criminal conviction or financial designation in the primary records reviewed for this profile 5,717,18,19,20.
| If a summary says | Check this record |
|---|---|
| Audit scandal | The audit report, management responses and any closure record 5 |
| Fee scandal | The legal instrument, passenger notice, receipt and reconciliation record 12,13,14,15,16 |
| Corruption case | The exact court judgment and its procedural outcome 17 |
| Sanctioned company | The official OFAC, UN and UK financial designation lists 18,19,20 |
United States civil settlement
On 21 October 2026, the US Department of Justice announced that Securiport and Alex Stewart International agreed to pay a combined US$1,816,943 to resolve civil False Claims Act allegations tied to Second Draw Paycheck Protection Program applications 7. The notice says the claims resolved by the settlement were allegations only and that there was no determination of civil liability 7.
The settlement is a material official record. It should not be described as a criminal conviction or a court finding of fraud. The DOJ notice reports a civil resolution without a determination of civil liability 7.
Visa restrictions and financial designation lists
US visa ineligibility under Section 7031(c) applies to foreign government officials and their immediate family members under the conditions set out by that authority 21. It is a travel measure for individuals. OFAC, the UN Security Council and the UK government publish separate financial-designation lists 18,19,20.
Searches on the dates below found no Securiport entry in the official US, UN or UK financial-designation datasets. A no-entry result is dated evidence, not a permanent guarantee. The official lists should be checked again before a compliance or legal decision 18,19,20.
| Authority or measure | Who or what it covers | Securiport result | Check date |
|---|---|---|---|
| US Section 7031(c) visa ineligibility | Foreign government officials and immediate family members under the stated criteria 21 | Not a corporate financial-designation list | Authority checked 31 October 2026 |
| United States Treasury | OFAC SDN and consolidated non-SDN data 18 | No entry found | 28 October 2026 |
| United Nations Security Council | UN Security Council Consolidated List 20 | No entry found | 31 October 2026 |
| United Kingdom government | UK Sanctions List 19 | No entry found | 28 October 2026 |

Records to check for a current decision
A current due-diligence review should obtain a state registry extract, a certificate of good standing, the current ISO certificates with scope and expiry, and the latest country contract or government status notice. Project questions should be checked against the authority that signed, audited or supervised that project.
Common questions
Does Securiport have scandals?
The word scandal appears in political and media commentary, but it is not a legal finding. The primary records reviewed here contain audits, fee reviews, court proceedings and a civil settlement. They should be reported separately. No criminal conviction or US, UN or UK financial designation of Securiport was found in this record set 5,7,17,18,19,20.
Is Securiport a real company?
Yes. MIGA and the US Department of Justice identify Securiport Limited Liability Company in official records 1,7. A current state registry extract remains the best proof of present registration status.
Is Securiport a government agency?
No. Securiport describes itself as a privately owned company 6. Official records show it as an investor, provider or contracting party to public bodies 1,2,3,4.
Is Securiport ISO certified?
Securiport reported an A-LIGN ISO/IEC 27001 certification dated 12 December 2018 8. Its current website displays ISO 27001 and ISO 37001 badges 6. A current public certificate with number, scope and expiry was not found in the sources reviewed.
Did the 2026 DOJ settlement find Securiport liable?
No. The DOJ notice says the civil claims were allegations only and that there was no determination of civil liability 7.
Is Securiport listed under US, UN or UK financial designations?
No Securiport entry was found in the OFAC SDN and non-SDN datasets, the UN Security Council Consolidated List or the UK Sanctions List checked on the dates stated 18,19,20. This is a dated list check. The official data should be searched again before a current decision.
Are visa restrictions on officials the same as a company financial designation?
No. Section 7031(c) visa ineligibility concerns foreign government officials and their immediate family members under the stated criteria 21. OFAC, UN and UK financial-designation lists are separate records 18,19,20.
Does the Gambia audit apply to every Securiport contract?
No. It is an official record for the Gambian project and audited period 5. Other projects require their own contracts, audits and status records.
Did the Gambia audit convict Securiport of a crime?
No. The National Audit Office management letter records audit findings, responses and recommendations. It is not a criminal judgment 5.
Is the reported DRC US$30 fee proven to be in force?
No public notice, airline circular, ticket line or passenger receipt confirming collection was found in the sources reviewed. One report said the effective date was not fixed. Another reported a ministry statement that the amount was already in tickets 15,16.
What did the Benin court decide?
The Paris Court of Appeal rejected Benin's application to set aside the arbitral award. The ruling concerns that award challenge and does not decide the status of projects in other countries 17.
Did MIGA approve a US$100 million guarantee?
The public project page describes a proposed guarantee of up to US$100 million 1. The page should not be read as proof that the full guarantee was issued.

Where is Securiport based?
The company lists its corporate headquarters in Reston, Virginia 6.
